After quite a long time of plugging away at his classes part time, my husband has only two more semesters left before graduation. I know how long he has been trying to get his bachelor's degree, and how much this means to him, so I've been thinking of what to get him as a present.
One thing I've been thinking would mean a lot to him is to get a really nice diploma frame so that he can display his hard-earned diploma. It would have to be something really worthy of display in an obvious place, because he is the first person in his family to get his college degree, and I know he is really proud of it. Being a first generation college student isn't anything to sneeze at — he basically pulled himself up by his bootstraps, and made a life for himself that none of the rest of his family has ever been able to achieve.
If he decides to attend graduation, I might even get him a graduation picture frame to complete the display. You know how they always take those really typical photos of you receiving your diploma at the graduation ceremony? Well, I think it would be a really great keepsake for him to have that picture framed and displayed. I can't think of a better way to celebrate what he has earned with all his hard work, can you?
