The other day, a friend of mine was checking out Arizona golf schools. When he told me what he was doing, I thought he was looking for a place to help him with his game. He definitely could use some help getting out of sand traps. What I found out was that he was considering a career in golf course management. That is when I received a bit of an education on golf schools.
Not every school related to golf is for those looking to improve their game. There are many schools that can train you in various jobs related to the golf industry. Golf careers span a whole array of jobs. As mentioned before, my friend wants to be a golf course manager. There are also courses of study related to teaching golf, management, and of course you can study to improve your game.
Personally, I always have believed that a professional in golf is a person that plays golf for a living. I never stopped to consider the people behind arranging the events and running the organizations that support golf. With golf colleges, people can learn to become a golf professional without having to face down Tiger Woods on the golf course.

When you travel, do you always see the same old tourist attractions in every destination? They may be neat but they don't really let you get a good feel for what a city is like. Do you know what will give you that insider experience? Take a class in local culture whenever you travel somewhere.
Head to Buenos Aires and take tango lessons there. This way, you'll learn the dance that is so important to the culture. You'll also meet local people who can tell you where the best places are to tango (and which tourist attractions really are worth seeing while you're there!)
